Position Description:

The Accounting Supervisor’s responsibilities include all aspects of financial accounting and fiscal management of the company. This position entails financial analysis, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, oversight of the payroll process and supervising two payroll analysts.  This is a key leadership role within the accounting department, which will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the weekly payroll process and two payroll analysts
  • Fulfill reporting requirements to all unions that Bond Brothers, Inc. is signatory to under collective bargaining agreements
  • Support compliance with GAAP principles and month-end and year-end close process
  • Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements
  • Meet accounting financial standards by providing accounting department annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Manage monthly and quarterly insurance program reporting
  • Analyze current payroll procedures, recommend changes
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Support the Corporate Controller as needed


  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role
  • Outstanding organizational skills and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, auditors and outside reporting entities (bank and Insurance company)
  • Must be solutions oriented and display good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of payroll and experience with GAAP requirements and reporting
  • Generally familiar with cash management tools and applications
  • Construction accounting and union reporting experience knowledge a plus
  • Financial modeling background helpful
  • Experience with multiple accounting entities and inter-company activity a plus
  • Willingness to adapt/learn existing accounting systems and procedures
  • Sage 300 Construction (Timberline) experience a plus
  • Command of Microsoft Excel
