Situation:
BOND provided construction management services for the 6,500 SF expansion of the Radiology Department on the third floor of the West Clinical Center. The project included 12 new patient bays, an isolation room, a new nurses station, patient support area, restrooms and locker room.
Challenges:
- Work required plumbing systems run through interstitial space below slab, space was not accessible from existing catwalks
Solutions:
- BOND built five treated wooden catwalks to access work area safely
Results:
- Project successfully built
