Position Description:

The Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager provides leadership for Building Information Modeling (BIM) utilization throughout project delivery to ensure the team receives all pertinent information necessary to coordinate and construct in a timely manner.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare BIM Execution plans for project specific requirements
  • Training of project personnel in the use of BIM tools
  • Responsible as “Model Administrator” for assigned projects
  • Assist with business development and participation in proposals and interviews
  • Create and maintain models for project specific requirements
  • Manage model change control during design and construction phases
  • Support continued model utilization in the field
  • Operate laser scanner and process data, as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience (ideally for a general contractor or construction manager in New England)
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge in required software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Faro Scene, etc.)
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to use independent judgement, problem solving ability, self-starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors
