BOND lands Fitchburg State project
BOND, a 103 year-old construction firm based in Everett, said it has been selected to renovate and build an addition to the Condike Science Center at Fitchburg State University.
"BOND was awarded a $42 million contract to construct a new 54,700 square foot addition that will include biology and chemistry teaching and research laboratories, classrooms, and support functions," the company said in a press release. "In addition they will renovate the existing building, which provides space for physics and geo-physical sciences classrooms and faculty offices on the 31-acre campus."
BOND said it be working with CBT Architects of Boston on the project, which is expected to be completed in January 2014.
The rendering of what the science center will look after the project is completed was provided by BOND.
