Description:
The Eisai Research Center in Andover, MA represented a major expansion to a pharmaceutical company’s research capabilities. It is comprised of 150,000 SF of chemistry and biology laboratories, pharmacological research and drug safety facilities, fully-automated labs and conference center.

Challenge/Situation:
The overall project comprised both renovations to the existing research facility as well as a major addition; this required extensive mitigation and safety planning.

Solution/Action:
A plan was developed by BOND along with the facility managers and researchers to keep critical research operations running smoothly and safely while construction was undertaken within and around the laboratories.

Benefit/Result:
The project was successfully completed within 24 months without disturbance to the critical operations of the research laboratories and other ancillary spaces in the facility.
